Who I teach

I teach children of almost all ages, starting with those at pre-school/primary school, through to those studying GCSEs on to sixth-formers studying for A levels.

I train organisations to acquire and improve the language skills of individuals and teams, enabling them to converse more confidently in the workplace, in both Spanish and French.

    I have lived and worked in France and Spain – and have over twenty years’ experience of language teaching in schools, colleges and universities across the West Midlands. I have delivered a wide range of courses, including GCSE, A-level and International Baccalaureate – as well as on HND and degree programmes.

Teaching Spanish and French for over twenty years

Vicky Bate

Spanish and French language tutor

With a passion for learning and speaking foreign languages, and over twenty years experience of teaching them, I have always ensured that my enthusiasm for language learning is instilled in all of my students, both past and present.

Initially my career began as a lecturer at several further education colleges and universities in the West Midlands, prior to becoming a private tutor. I have also taught French and Spanish clubs in primary and pre-schools – as well as delivering language training to blue-chip companies such as Goodyear Dunlop and Rover Group.

As a former examiner of GCSE and A level French, I am familiar with the demands of an examination syllabus and fully understand what is required to achieve a good grade. I have proven success helping my students to do this.
